Black Walnut Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

1 tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 sticks butter/margarine

4 tbsp cocoa

1 cup water

1/2 cup buttermilk

2 eggs

Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Melt margarine/butter and mix with cocoa and water. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and eggs. Bake in cookie sheet pan with edge at 350F for 15-20 minutes. Ice with Black Walnut Sheet Cake Icing.

Black Walnut Butter Cream Frosting

Ingredients:

6-8 fresh egg whites

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup water

4 sticks butter

2/3 cup black walnuts

Directions:

Whip egg whites until frothy. Mix sugar and water. Heat 240F on a candy thermometer. Slowly pour sugar mixture into egg whites while beating. Whip until cooled. Add butter in chunks until the butter is completely mixed in. Fold in black walnuts.

NutCrusters & Salmon

NutCrusters and Salmon in the Broiler

Ingredients

Cleaned Salmon Fillets

1 tbsp/lb Butter

2 tbsp/lb NutCrusters (any flavor but I enjoy Almond Lemon)

2-3 tsp of Worcestershire

Directions

Have the seafood counter take the skin off for easy cleaning in the kitchen.

Place a piece of aluminum foil on the broiler pan and spray with Pam.

Place the washed Salmon Fillet on the Aluminum foil

Put a few slices of butter across the top of the Salmon

Add a few splashes of Worcestshire

Sprinkle a couple of tablespoons (per pound of Salmon) of Nutcrusters on top of the Salmon

Put the broiler pan on the top shelf

Broil for 15 to 20 minutes depending on the thickness of the Fillet

NutCrusters Hamburgers

NutCrusters Hamburgers

Ingredients

1 lb ground meat (80/20 is best) (Could work with tofu as well)

1/2 cup NutCrusters (any flavor)

1 egg

1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 garlic clove minced

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp salt

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl (using your hands is okay and works better in my opinion)

Shape the meat into hamburger patties

Heat grill to approximately 400 degrees F

Cook each side 5-6 minutes for medium or cook according to preferences (medium-rare, medium well, etc)

Garnish NutCrusters Hamburgers with relish, mustard, ketchup, etc

Enjoy the best burger you will ever taste!

NutCrusters and Yellow Squash

NutCrusters and Yellow Squash

Ingredients

Yellow Squash

NutCrusters (any flavor)

Balsamic Vinegar

Olive Oil

Directions

Slice the squash into 1/4 inch wide circles

Heat up a few tsps of olive oil on frying pan on medium heat

Put the squash on the hot pan and lightly sprinkle balsamic vinegar across squash

Spread a pinch of NutCrusters on the top of the squash, cook for a few minutes, then flip with spatula

Repeat steps with balsamic vinegar and NutCrusters on the other side

Flip one or two more times to let cook for 1-2 more minutes.

NutCrusters and Tilapia

NutCrusters and Tilapia on a Frying Pan

Ingredients

Cleaned Tilapia Fillets

Olive Oil

4-5 tbsp NutCrusters (any flavor but Macadamia Coconut is best)

Directions

Spread NutCrusters on a large flat plate

Heat up frying pan with a few tbsp of olive oil

Take the tilapia fillets and press each side lightly on the NutCrusters on the plate

Place the fillets on the hot frying pan and cook on both sides until you are able to flake the fillet with a fork

Try experimenting with different flavors of NutCrusters and different types of fish. I prefer Indian Hazelnut on bluefish and Onion Garlic Pistachio on Halibut.

NutCrusters Basic Recipes

NutCrusters & Chicken Breast for the Grill

Ingredients

 

Chicken Breast

Olive Oil

Any Flavor of NutCrusters

Directions

In a small bowl, pour out a few tablespoons of olive oil. On a flat plate, pour out a few tablespoons of NutCrusters.

Take the Chicken Breast and flip it on both sides in the olive oil, then flip the chicken on the plate with NutCrusters on it. Try to get it evenly distributed on each side of the chicken.

Throw the chicken on the grill or frying pan for 4-6 minutes on each side. Check to make sure it is properly cooked and serve!

Spiced Mixed Nuts

All cooking for this recipe is done in the microwave! No oven required!

Ingredients
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
4 1/2 tsp water
2 cups mixed nuts

Directions
-In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Stir in the water. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 minute. Add nuts and stir until well-coated.
-Microwave, uncovered, on high for 4-5 minutes or until syrup begins to harden, stirring after each minute. Immediately pour onto a greased, foil-lined baking sheet and separate nuts. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Double Chocolate Prune Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup Prunes

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks

1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Cooking spray

3 tbsp brandy (optional)

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup butter, room temperature

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 1/2 tsp almond extract

3/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325°F. Soak Prunes in brandy for 5 minutes if desired; strain and set aside. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave or in a bowl set over boiling water. Cool for 5 minutes. With an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and well mixed. Add egg, almond and vanilla extracts; mix until smooth. Beat melted chocolate into butter mixture until incorporated. In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking soda and salt and stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in white chocolate chips, marshmallows and Plum Amazins. Spray 2 baking sheets with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Drop cookie dough in large spoonfuls onto baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each cookie. Bake for 12 minutes or until tops of cookies feel slightly firm when touched. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes. With a spatula, carefully transfer cookies to a wire rack and cool completely. Makes 12 cookies.
